Friends, today in this article we will know about the future of non-conventional energy sources in India. I am going to give information about all these in a very good way. So let’s start.
From the analysis of the production and consumption data of conventional energy sources, it is clear to us that these sources are not going to last long. Their availability is limited. Energy has been a part of human civilization’s daily life since the beginning. Every creature living in any corner of the world needs energy. Energy is also an important component for every nation, because various means of obtaining energy are the nation’s funds.
Most of the developed and developing countries of the world suffer from energy shortage and news of energy crisis keeps getting published from every corner of the world. If we consider the energy crisis today, we come to know that there is a huge difference between the demand and supply of energy, because it is almost impossible to supply energy from any artificial means. To say that the peak of development has increased the energy demand in our country and in the entire world is also not true. But it cannot be denied that for the sake of convenience, we have abandoned the sources of energy which have been the means of energy since the dawn of human civilization and have adopted very modern, comfortable and artificial means and have almost abandoned various natural means and fuels.
A look into the civilization of our country reveals that in ancient times our ancestors used to produce energy from wood, its coal, mineral coal, dung cakes, mineral oil etc. Modern civilization, along with the pace of development, has adopted modern sources like electricity, gas etc. in place of ancient sources. As a result, the situation today is such that we have progressed beyond mineral oil and electricity to nuclear energy. Even after adopting these measures, the energy crisis still persists. The ban imposed by the mineral oil producing nations on the sale of oil has made the energy problem even more serious. Due to this, the nations with limited mineral coal reserves are faced with the problem of paying attention to the means of energy available in their own nations.
Making this ideology active, all the countries of the world in which the production of mineral oil is less are paying attention to their ancient sources. India is also one of those countries and to solve the energy problem of our country, the Government of India has established the Department of Non-Conventional Energy Sources. It is well known that wind, water, sun are the basic sources of energy provided by nature. Apart from these, sea weeds, geological energy, biological energy are also such sources through which a solution to the energy problem can be found. In India, along with electrical energy and nuclear energy, the Department of Non-Conventional Energy Sources is making necessary efforts in the direction of solar energy and cow dung gas energy, energy obtained from garbage, optical electrical energy, hydrogen energy, wind energy, sea tidal energy, geological energy. As a result of these efforts, convenience and success have been achieved. Efforts have been made by the department to take cow dung gas plants to every village through the schemes made by the government. Scientists are trying to find other alternatives of energy, due to which there is hope of success in the future.
With the growth of population and progress in industrialization in India, the demand for energy is increasing day by day because the forests in India are being destroyed day by day. Necessary steps have also been taken by the government to conserve forests. The work of planting more trees is also going on on a large scale by the Department of Environment. But all this does not seem to be enough to deal with this problem. Like other developed and developing nations, India is also moving towards obtaining energy from garbage to solve the problem of energy.
Scientists are trying to generate additional energy based on the huge coal reserves available in our country, but we should not forget our natural water sources, sea tidal sources and geological sources while paying attention to the highly expensive option like nuclear energy. Now the Department of Non-Conventional Energy Sources has developed the technology of solar energy and made it cheap, simple and easily available to all, as a result of which crores of units of electricity, crores of cylinders of gas, lakhs of barrels of mineral oil can be saved in India. In India, tireless efforts are being made on the possibility of thermal energy obtained from natural sources like hydro energy and mineral coal. Sources of energy from mineral coal are also not less in our country. In Madhya Pradesh, sufficient energy can be available from mineral coal. There are also immense possibilities of thermal electricity produced from low grade coal.
As a result of research being conducted by the Department of Non-Conventional Energy Sources and Nodal Agencies in various laboratories, IIT universities, colleges of the country, there seems to be possibilities of using cheap and successful means of solar energy.
