Central receiver solar thermal house plant –
In this type of power plant, the rays coming from the sun are reflected through reflection and all these reflected rays are focused on a black body placed at a certain height which acts as a central receiver. To get maximum energy from these reflected surfaces, it is rotated on both axes.
This system produces energy by working according to the rankine cycle and a boiler is used in it. The oil is kept in a black container on which the solar radiation is focused. This oil acts as a heat conductor, so the reflecting surface is arranged in such a way that the solar radiation falls on it throughout the day. The oil which is heated in this way is stored in a storage tank and by creating water vapor with the help of heat exchange, the turbine is rotated with the steam. The turbine is coupled to the alternator which produces electricity.
